Nice fit for the EF70-200mm f/4L IS USM + hood of John Grooms, reversed I would pack my Canon lenses, lens cases, with their hoods. In this way, I always keep the hood in the shooting. But it also means a case of over-sizing a bit on the bonnet. I'm just the diameter of the lens with lens hood, and its length with caps on both ends, and go to find the website, the Lowepro is next required. I do not "fit" all published my actions more closely than about 0.25 "to a certain inner dimension Lowepro, because I think it may mean the fit is too tight, and can range strapped with a pesky case of your Belt, if you try to remove the lens with one hand while keeping your camera with the other. Too tight means pull too hard, and can lead to a disaster with a goal, as he "pops" to search. I love the case for its extensive line of Lowepro padded, weather sealed case design, two hinges, a system of belts and straps AWESOME You can put this issue over the entire belt without removing the belt or loose belt, which is the dual Velcro closure strap is essentially foolproof, and very safe. Easy on, easy off. I appreciate the work of land with 1-3 glasses attached to my belt or hidden safely in a backpack. I hate the straps of any kind - are always falling, grasping at things, and beat me to death while walking or jogging. I keep my camera in a belt holster for the same reason in the field and shoot. Case Lowepro are discrete, black, and do not differ too bad, although you can be armed with about 3 or 4 glasses and a camera. The Lowepro Lens case # 3 is a little 'big for his belt, but it works if needed, for field work. I think my favorite target in this case to a backpack for field work well. I currently do with my EF100-400mm F45-5.6L IS USM and housing. It's much more comfortable on the back, which strikes to the leg of a lens this size. I ordered size and installed Lowepro Lens Case 3 for my EF70-200mm F4L IS USM lens with its lens hood EW-74 reverse. This lens is a soft, collapsible case of Canon, but it was no padding at all and really only served as dust and scratch protector. Not good enough for a $ 1000 + lens in my humble opinion. I was happy to test fly Lowepro Lens Case 3 with EF70-200mm lens hood, and vice versa, and think it was a nice fit, without being too tight at all. For add-on tripod mount ring belonged to the lens, the lens does not come with the standard. I am the filter end of the lens in the first, Access to small diameter lens with a fixed base, if the lens should be removed instead of leaves. Note that the case of the lens matches the optional tripod mount ring installed "bracket forward" or "stop", for maximum flexibility other Lowepro Lens Case reviewer complained about odor with newer cases when they receive them. I ordered a Lowepro Lowepro both a W and three cases at once, and noticed no smell at all with 1W case. But I can smell some kind of Lowepro three cases (not bad) smell, so I air it out with case supported open for a few days just to be safe. I've never noticed that with other Lowepro cases (and I have several). Not sure it's a big deal, but would confirm that the other reviewers observation. The height of the case and the lens is a nice place too. The top of the EF-mount cap is hardly top of the padding in the case. I have a standard UV filter on the lens, the Canon lens cap. There is a network of elastic storage bag on top of the lens case, so he could hold a pair of CF memory cards, or even a lens filter in its own protective plastic box where this practice "distribute" the memory and extra battery.
